in the second of a new series of what to wear posts, i've put together some fun, chic and, perhaps most importantly, comfortable ideas for what to wear when out for a day on the town.
whether you're running errands or simply out to experience the sights and sounds of the city, comfort is key.
dressing for a day on the town is quite simple: a tank or tee fitted under a cardigan or jacket, a cozy sweater, comfy jeans pants or shorts, a giant scarf and a hat so you don't ever have to worry about what the wind is doing to your hair.
bring along a big tote that fits in all your essentials -- wallet, cell phone, keys, lip gloss, compact mirror, iPod and whatever else you will need on your journey.
colour wise, i prefer to keep the palette generally neutral, adding a splash of colour with fun accessories like a scarf or bag. my favourite colour combinations (remembering that jeans count as a netural!) are mint greent and taupe, coral and tan/beige and purple and grey and, of course, beloved black that goes with anything!
et, voila! my daytime city chic wardrobe for any urbanite.
