Alexander McQueen Fall 2010 Accessories

Alexander McQueen's final collection of shoes and bags is absolutely..... i have no words. epic? heavenly? awe-inducing? blinding in all their glory? i can't seem to do them justice, so they must speak for themselves - which was no doubt his intention in the process of creating them.

trend alert: camel for spring

have i mentioned how much i love the work of garance dore? not lately? well i guess we shall have to remedy that then with another raving post about her gorgeous work!

the intrepid miz dore has shared a collection of her favourite look for spring, and i must say that i am in complete agreement.

camel is a fresh but classic look, updated by Celine with modern perfection, and appears to be all over the streets of paris this spring.

This is how I would wear it:and this one i just like because it's beautiful:

julia part deux

finally!

part two of the inside look at julia restoin roitfeld's gorgeous closet, originally from fashionair - has been shared by the lovely natalie joos, who was given the grand tour by le mademoiselle herself.

and it's just as drool-worthy as the original.

style icon... kate bosworth
[aka minimalism III]

kate bosworth is a style goddess. everything she touches is gold. every piece she dons is sartorial perfection.

how does she do it? she keeps things simple.

her ensembles highlight only one thing - either shape, colour or pattern. solid coloured pieces are in interesting shapes while patterns are kept relatively simple, drawing the eye to just one aspect of the overall look.

her hair and makeup are always simple and understated, allowing her natural beauty to steal the spotlight, and not overpowering the bigger picture of her complete look.

perfection.

dace yourself

I saw these images and had to share them. They come from Dace, a Vancouver-based designer, whose spring 2010 lookbook features a series of photographs with a really beautiful aesthetic. I love how they give off a parisian, brigitte bardot, carefree feel - very similar to Sophia Coppola's Miss Dior Cherie girly and stunning romp through Paris - all while showcasing Dace's gorgeous, flowey pieces. C'est parfait pour le printemps.

enjoy!
