i love film noir. if you've ever seen one, you will understand why. the high contrast lighting, the sensual but always dangerous femme fatale, the voice over of the poor hero, and the ultimately unhappy ending.
imagine my excitement when i read online that John Galliano, that brilliant man, was inspired by film noir for his spring 2010 collection.
he says he spiced the collection with influences from lauren bacall and humphrey bogart, the classic film noir couple, who starred together in the big sleep.
if you've never seen one, start with double indemnity, out of the past, laura or the big sleep.
for the collection, galliano infused trench coats, boudoir, wavy curles, red lips and sexy eveningwear with his usual brilliant classic pieces.
